Even the clouds cleared from the sky as we departed from Helsinki’s Market Square for the first-ever Kringle Joy at Sea cruise. Families with children hungry for treats and fun were recruited – whose activities were guided by cruise hostesses in their pink uniforms – led by Miia Nikunen.
Judging by the amount of laughter, both the cruise program and the treats were enjoyed by the party guests. Children, and of course adults too, had the opportunity to compete in, for example, building a kringle tower and writing kringle rhymes. Sometimes we also tried our hand at a tricky kringle quiz, not forgetting to indulge ourselves with self-garnished kringles. There was even a surprise artist on the program – Katariina Juselius.
Overall, the afternoon was such a fun and successful experience that Kringle Joy at Sea will probably be continued!
